2.  UPCOMING TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

Our popular monthly Shootout tournaments are back! Don't get shut out - these events often fill up and we have to turn people away.

AUGUST SHOOTOUT (Mixed Doubles only) - Sat, Aug 28th.  Currently all divisions are FULL, except we have one team slot available in the 4.5/5.0 division.  We do place teams on a wait list in case a team drops out.

SEPTEMBER SHOOTOUT (any type team accepted) - Sat, Sept 18th.  Accepting registrations now.

OCTOBER SHOOTOUT (Mixed Doubles only) - Sat, Oct 9th.  Accepting registrations now.

Shootouts are held at Mentor Civic Center Park and start at 11:00 am,  We utilize a round robin format so you get plenty of play in a short period of time.  Shootouts normally take about 3 hours to complete.  Cost is $20 per person, which includes tournament, medals, and pizza at end of the event.

To register, e-mail you and your partner's names and e-mail addresses, along with desired division (4.5/5.0, 4.0, 3.5A, or 3.5B) to info@mentorpickleball.org.  We will accept registration of full teams on a first-come, first-served basis.  We will e-mail back with confirmation if there is room.

If there are any questions, e-mail Ken Werner at info@mentorpickleball.org or call/text at 440-478-6542.

PS - beginning in November, we plan to hold our monthly tournaments indoors at Pickleball World @ Heisley.  Dates to be determined.

6. OUTDOOR PLAY

Outdoor play is available at Mentor Civic Center Park, 8600 Munson Rd, Mentor, OH 44060.  Courts are located behind the outdoor pools.

Courts are available to groups on a first-come, first-served basis from sunrise until lights go off around 11:00 pm.  We do not have organized open play, meaning there is no requirement for players to rotate off/on the courts.  Having said that, most Pickleball players are accommodating, and will usually allow players of similar ability to join their group for a game or two.  Long-term, it makes sense to find a regular group of people with similar ability to play with.
